On Saturday, January 25th, nine Young Friends (YFs) from around the Yearly Meeting met at Old Haverford Meeting for their monthly in-person gathering. They spent the day having fun and building relationships, as well as preparing a workshop on the topic of polarity that they will facilitate at Spring Sessions. The day also included an icebreaker game, fun in the snow, a creative group activity, cooking a fabulous burrito bar lunch, and sharing quiet worship.
YFs meet in-person every month, and all Friends in grades 8 to 12 are invited to join in the fun! Join young Friends as they gather together to build relationships and community, learn about Quaker practice and issues of social justice, and have fun together!
The next gathering will take place on February 22 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Westtown Friends School.
Those interested in upcoming YF programming or have any questions can connect with Kristin Simmons, Youth Engagement Coordinator of PYM, at ksimmons@pym.org.
Friends are also invited to register for Spring Continuing Sessions here.
