Quaker communities thrive when members share their unique gifts and skills. The Gifts & Skills Collection is a PYM initiative designed to highlight the range of Friends’ contributions and talents. This initiative invites Friends to share their gifts and connect with others who have similar interests or experiences. The goal is to build community by matching gifts, skills, or area of interest with opportunities to collaborate and support shared work.
Naming gifts and sharing them creates opportunities for Spirit to work within the community. Each contribution—whether organizing, creating, caring for others, or supporting meeting functions—adds to the collective life. Offering time or energy in stewardship helps both the individual and the community function and grow. When gifts are shared thoughtfully, the bonds of connection deepen, and we, a community of Friends, are strengthened.
The Gifts & Skills Collection is open to all Friends, recognizing that gifts and talents come in many forms and are valuable at every stage of life and experience. Whether contributing through artistic expression, thoughtful counsel, practical action, or other ways of participating, all gifts help sustain our community. Each offering, no matter its form, continues this shared journey and reflects the Spirit moving through Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.
Friends are invited to complete this form to share their Gifts and Skills.
