During the third year of Covid, Medford Leas continued to have restrictions. The Worship Group therefore comprised from 7 to 22 people. We are under the care of Medford Monthly Meeting, but were not able yet to have any joint meetings or events such as speakers. However, as several members of MMM live at Medford Leas, communication was not lost.
We are very concerned that Quakerism is diminishing at ML due to fewer new residents entering who are Friends. Administrator Jane Weston schedules Quaker programming for the Pathways events each year, which probably attracts the interest of potential new residents who might attend the Worship Group.
Due to the mixed faith background of attenders, queries on the first Sunday of the month may come from Faith and Practice, the Bible, poems, and other sources, as long as they are selected on the basis of furthering spiritual development.
