Are you a Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Friend living in Philadelphia or Haverford Quarter? Do you have a spare room to share for 1-2 nights on July 5th to 6th? Then please consider opening your arms and your home as we re-awaken the practice of home hospitality for traveling Friends!
This year, our PYM Annual Sessions will be immediately following the FGC Gathering at Haverford College. Haverford will be filled to the brim with Quakers from across the country, occupying nearly all the dorm space available. PYM Friends who attend the Gathering will have the option to extend their stay on campus for an extra night and continue on campus for Annual Sessions. Haverford will not have time to turn over enough rooms in time for new arrivals of PYM members who need a place to stay. That’s where you come in!
On this form, you’ll be able to share about yourself, your home, and how many Friends you can accommodate. You’ll be able to share any quirky, specific details about your space, and communicate limitations if you have them (a scent-free home? weird stairs? tell us about it!) We’ll match you up with someone seeking housing and connect you in the weeks before early July.
This is a great way to meet new Friends!
