Since we came to the United States in 1656, we have addressed seemingly insurmountable challenges, such as sustainability, women’s rights, and war, by coming together and using our collective gifts, talents, and passions.

The countless challenges we still face today, ranging from constant division to environmental justice, mean that this work needs to continue, but it only can with help from Friends like you.

By becoming a monthly donor to the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, you’ll continue Quakers’ rich history of impact by breaking down barriers to true connections among Friends while unlocking matching funds to support this work.

Your monthly gift will build a thriving community and form powerful relationships by empowering PYM staff and all Friends to connect with each other, both inside and outside the walls of meeting houses.

• Family and young adult programs create safe spaces to form nurturing and fun relationships for Friends of all ages 

• Friends across meetings collaborate on environmental justice, anti-racism, and global peace initiatives. 

• PYM Connect, an online platform, helps Friends across the region share, learn, and support each other on their spiritual journeys. 

And there’s so much more we can do! With your sustaining support, imagine how PYM Friends can expand this critical work to make stories like the ones below a reality! 

• A young Friend discovers and advocates alongside like-minded Friends hundreds of miles away with shared leadings in peacebuilding through PYM Connects. 

• Meetings throughout PYM collaborate and share resources to reduce the carbon footprint of their meetinghouses. 

• An urban meeting turns its unused meetinghouse rooms into a third space for people of all ages and backgrounds to go when they are not at work, home, or school.

A generous donor has committed $60,000 in matching funds to support these efforts, so your gift will go even further! 

• Starting a monthly donation of $15 a month unlocks $1,000 in matching funds, and $25 a month unlocks $1,500. 

• If you’re already a monthly donor, increase your monthly donation by $15 or $25 to unlock the matches.

Whether it is as simple as sharing a warm handshake after meeting or as complex as leading a group advocating for racial justice, our connections with fellow Friends and your monthly gifts lift spirits and make the world a more caring, peaceful, and loving place.
