Foster healthy staff and organizational structure!
- Collectively discuss equity & inclusion issues before EVERY meeting
- Assisting the General Secreatary with revisioning/reimagining PYM staff positions

- Rolling out equity & inclusion framework for councils & committees
People who participate in this committee can learn and grow in this way:
- Understand how to assist a nonprofit entity by supporting staff
- Learn about personnel poicy
This committee functions at its best when there are people serving on it who have these skills or experiences:
- Discernment
- Deep listening
- Knowledge of human resources and/or caring for staff
- Understanding of equity, inclusion and belonging dynamics
The realistic time commitment of members of this committee includes:
- Attend meetings monthly, scheduled at a time to meet all members needs. Meetings generally last 90 minutes.
- Read agenda materials prior to meeting
- Possibly participate in short-term projects
- Terms: a term is three years, renewable once
Membership:
- Members of committees are appointed by the council they serve. Personnel Committee is under Admin Council
- The committee ideally has six members and currently has five.
Charge:
With Divine assistance, the Personnel Committee is charged to collaborate with the General Secretary of Philadelphia Meeting to develop and recommend for the Administrative Council policies, procedures, and programs to ensure appropriate, consistent, legal, and fair treatment of all personnel and foster healthy staff / organizational culture. When requested by the General Secretary, the committee shall also provide confidential counsel related to human resource matters.
