Build relationship through fundraising and friend-raising!
Recently Development Committee found joy and fulfillment! Here’s how:
- There are people who really want to support yearly meeting which is exciting.
- We re-launched a game for everyone to get engaged with development: TAG – Thanking|Asking|Giving
People who participate in this committee can learn and grow in this way:
- How to map out strategies for how people can support their yearly meeting
This committee functions at its best when there are people serving on it who have these skills or experiences:
- Program development
- Financial knowledge
- Care of groups and communities
The realistic time commitment of members of this committee includes:
- Attend zoom based committee meetings on a monthly basis. Meetings are generally an hour.
- Occasional participation in special projects – the time required varies
Membership:
- Members of committees are appointed by the council they serve. Development Committee is under Admin Council
- There have been four members but the committee would like to expand so two to four more members would be welcome.
Charge:
The Development Committee works closely with staff to foster a healthy philanthropic culture in the yearly meeting and to work with staff to thresh broad development directions, challenges and opportunities.
