Use your capabilities and your possessions not as ends in themselves but as God’s gifts entrusted to you. Share them with others; use them with humility, courtesy, and affection.
We urge you to consider yourself and people you know and suggest any individuals who have the skills and willingness to serve our yearly meeting as an officer, a member of the Administrative Council or the Quaker Life Council, or as a representative to one of the external organizations with whom we have a relationship.
Please consider volunteering yourself to help in any capacity you may be interested in. Likewise, please consider suggesting other people you may know who you believe will be helpful in service to our yearly meeting.
About the Nominating Council
The Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Nominating Council has the responsibility of finding qualified individuals to serve in key positions of leadership within the Yearly Meeting — the officers; members of the Administrative Council and the Quaker Life Councils; and members to work with external organizations such as Friends World Committee for Consultation, or Friends General Conference, etc.
Though the Council is made up of representatives from each Quarter, our knowledge about the talent and skills within our midst is limited. Therefore, we appeal to all members to help make our organization stronger through your participation by identifying and naming qualified people to fill the many positions of service for which the Council has responsibility.
