Lenape Elder Brings Vision for the Land

Unami Friends Monthly Meeting welcomes John Thomas, Elder of the Delaware (Lenape) Tribe of Indians in Oklahoma. Elder Thomas will share his vision to establish relationships with current residents of this region as he works to foster acknowledgement of the Delaware tribe’s ancestral homeland and to find opportunities for building bridges of trust and cooperation . Among other objectives is the creation of Delaware burial grounds and community centers in the region.
This event is in person at Unami Friends Meeting, 100 Fifth Street, Pennsburg, PA.
