Invitation to Worship Sharing: Join Us in Discernment on PYM and Lobbying

On PYM’s collective journey towards unity through Quaker community participation, the Administrative Council invites you to join us in Worship Sharing.

Resuming Discernment on a PYM Lobbying Policy:

PYM is embarking on a significant discernment process regarding our lobbying policy. This process consists of three integral steps:

1. We join in Spirit-led, active listening through Worship sharing sessions.
2. We gather a Sprint to discern and craft the draft policy on lobbying that is spirit-centered, well-seasoned and meets the needs of individuals, the PYM community, and the organization of PYM.
3. We bring the draft policy to PYM Friends for consideration and approval.

We encourage you to hold this query in the Light as you prepare to attend Worship Sharing.
In the context of continuing revelation, how might the Spirit guide me to affirm, adjust, and evolve my perspective on Spiritual leadings while participating in and honoring the corporate discernment of PYM Friends?

Dates and Times:

• Friday, May 10, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
• Wednesday, May 15, 10:00 am – 11:30 am
• Wednesday, May 15, 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Please note:

• You need only attend one session but are welcome to attend as many as you are led.
• Meetings will be held via Zoom.
• Suggested Guidelines for Worship Sharing are being shared by Admin Council with encouragement to read before attending a session.
• For those unable to attend the listening sessions, please contact Cecilia Filauro at CFilauro@pym.org. The Administrative Council will ensure your message reaches the sprint members.

We anticipate the sessions will align with Quaker practices of sharing Spirit-led messages with Friends to illuminate our way forward. Our corporate discernment depends upon patience, respect, openness, and affection for each other. We strive to acknowledge and honor the Light in all.
