Friends Meeting-Friends School “Triad” Community Gathering
February 3 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
NOTE: CHANGE OF DATE TO FEBRUARY 3 — at Arch Street Meeting House!
Friends Council on Education and Philadelphia Yearly Meeting will co-host a “Triad Gathering” of Clerks of Meetings, Heads of Friends schools, and Clerks of School Committees (Boards of Trustees). The first Triad Gathering was held in 2007, and for several years the events were important spaces for sharing joys and concerns, ideas and inspiration, between meetings and schools who may share property and community members, but remain separate institutions. After a program hiatus during the pandemic, the gathering will focus on community and being in relationship.
Queries we’ll explore:
- How have we been successful in relationship building?
- What helps us be patient with each other and keep open communication?
- What are our shared vision and goals? How do our respective plans build on those goals?
- How can we support each other?
- How might we use the Membership Renewal Process to help us have the required Quaker representation on our boards?
REGISTER your Triad on the FCE website.
