Some 71 participants joined PYM’s Thursday April 23 virtual event to share and review tools for clerking Meeting for Business through Zoom. Convened by PYM and led by Emily Provance, the call included participation by computer, I pad, smart phone, and telephone.
During the presentation, participants benefited from Zoom chat, video breakout rooms focused on a set of Queries on clerking, and opportunities that were given for voice participation from those on the telephone.
In a well-ordered meeting, Friends connected over shared issues, resources, and needs.
Emily was a skilled and precise presenter who managed to make people feel welcomed, heard, and supported in their clerking roles. She also articulated her practices in clerking, noting how she managed clerking issues, but remarking that others may have different experiences that were equally valuable. The pros and cons of a wide range of zoom clerking styles were noted, strategized, and discussed.
The call was recorded and is posted on our website.
