A Little About My Role at PYM
Samantha leads the communications team in telling the story of PYM and Quakers through directing and strategizing communications and media strategy. She oversees communication channels, including social media and websites. She collaborates with colleagues and volunteers to develop clear messages, generate written content, and manage special projects.
About Sam
Samantha has dedicated her career to nonprofits and the greater good. Over the last two decades, she has worked on social issues, including healthcare accessibility, gun control, education, food justice, and more. She recently completed a certificate in Equity, Inclusion & Social Justice in Design through the New School and strives to bring both an equity and empathy lens to her leadership. Equally as comfortable in print as digital, her holistic approach to communications draws on her extensive experience in strategic planning, graphic design, and website development. She holds a BA in Contemplative Visual Art from Naropa University, and an MLS from Clarion University.
Did You Know?
Samantha maintains a lively art making practice and keeps a painting studio in her home. She enjoys dancing, meditation and long walks in the Wissahickon to keep her grounded, present and happy.
