A Little About My Role at PYM
Kristin serves as the PYM Youth Engagement Coordinator (YEC), holding care of Yearly Meeting supported youth and family programming. She leads a team to create opportunities for youth and families to enhance their spiritual development and foster community. Kristin also serves as the primary point of contact for local and quarterly meetings who are seeking support or facilitation of youth programs for their local meetings. In addition, as YEC, Kristin supports the Youth Programs Advisory Committee, and also assists meetings with training and support around child safety practices and background checks.
About Kristin
Kristin has spent her career working with children of all ages in a variety of settings. Trained as a social worker, she has served as a teacher, a therapist, and a coordinator of youth programming. In addition, Kristin has a deep interest in spiritual development and in supporting young people as they explore their own spirituality; this led her to obtain a certificate in Mercy Spirituality in 2022. Her role as YEC allows her to bring all these skills and interests together as she seeks to provide space and opportunities for PYM youth and families to build community and to grow spiritually.
