Joy, laughter, and creativity filled the air as Friends of all ages gathered at Kennett Friends Meeting for an unforgettable PYM Family Meetup on December 7th! The day was filled with meaningful connection and fun activities for both children and adults.
The gathering began with engaging icebreaker games to help everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Abby Brace-Higgins and Crystal Hershey, PYM Children & Family staff, shared the heartwarming story The Night Tree by Eve Bunting, setting the tone for an intergenerational activity. Participants then dove into a creative and hands-on project—making treats for outdoor wildlife. Children and adults worked together to craft fruit garlands and pinecones covered in birdseed, which were later hung on the trees outside the meetinghouse.
As children played and crafted together outdoors, adults enjoyed meaningful conversations around the dinner table. The event concluded with a cozy shared meal, fostering a sense of community and gratitude. Many thanks to Kennett Friends Meeting for graciously hosting this joyful and memorable gathering!
To keep the spirit of connection alive, we invite Friends to share pictures of their families enjoying activities or simply spending time together. We’d love to know how your family creates special memories! You are encouraged to upload photos of your family here to celebrate our shared experiences and continue building a sense of community.
