From the beginning of our Collaborative, as our mission states, we longed to “provide accompaniment and support to meetings who seek further work on antiracism”. To do that, we felt it was necessary to know where meetings were in that work so we could act to accompany and support them. We created a survey to measure whether race had become a matter of attention in the meetings and worship groups across PYM. Then, from October 2020 to February 2021, nine members of the ARC conducted telephone interviews with clerks or other representatives of 82 meetings and worship groups within PYM. What you see here are the results of those interviews up to Spring Continuing Sessions 2021.

We are continuing to:
- work on new resource lists
- work with other groups on shared education & action
- plan new work to see our mission lead to our vision “of a time when Meetings within PYM have become/are welcoming and safe for all people, including people of all races and ethnicities, so that all will be nurtured and grow”.
