Welcome to the PYM Adult Religious Education Concerns Group web page. We offer courses on basic Quaker studies, Faith and Witness, the Bible and Prayer, and are available to serve your meeting to develop programs and suggest speakers. The Adult Religious Education Working Group is called to nurture and strengthen the corporate teaching learning and experience of Friends in Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Meeting.The following are our primary tasks:
- Provide a list of teachers curricula, and other materials and facilitate connections between Meetings and resourcesPromote learning about the experience of Friends: our history, spirituality, testimonies, meetings for worship (including meetings for business), community and organization.Assist Monthly and Quarterly Meetings in facilitating adult religious education programs.Support the ministry of individuals and groups engaged in adult religious educationAdvocate that all Friends engage in lifelong religious education
- Be knowledgeable about adult religious education theories, methods, practices and resources.
