Fri, 12 Sept Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. Salem Quarterly Meetings Worship & Ministry Committee gathers at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay. The meeting will start at 7:30 pm. Salem Quarter will meet at Greenwich MM, gathering at 2:30 pm for 3:00 program. PYM General Secretary Arthur Larrabee will speak with us on authority among Friends. See the current issue of Salem Quarter News for schedule and directions. Sat, 20 Sept Little Red School House Anniversary. The Little Red Schoolhouse on Harmony Road in Mickleton will celebrate its 200th anniversary. See the article in the current issue of Salem Quarter News. Sat, 27 Sep Godly Play workshop at Seaville MM. Seaville MM and Salem Quarter sponsor this workshop for teachers of childrens First-day School, led by Woodbury MMs Michael Gibson. The workshop will run from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm at the meetinghouse. There is no charge, but registration is required. Friends Villages annual golf outing will be held at the Westwood Golf Club in Woodbury. Further information from Tom Smith at Friends Village, (856)769-1500. Fri, 3 Oct Sun, 5 Oct Tri-Quarter Gathering. Theme of this years gathering at Camp Ockanickon, Medford Lakes, N.J., will be Friendly Connections: Strengthening the Ties to Our Community and the Earth. Fri, 10 Oct Sun, 12 Oct Young Adult Friends gathering. A weekend retreat for PYM Young Adult Friends (ages 18-35) will be held at the Burlington Meeting House & Conference Center, Burlington, N.J. This is an opportunity to connect with other Young Adult Friends and envision the community, events, and support you would like to build within PYM for YAFs. The Fellowship of Quakers in the Arts holds its annual conference at Pendle Hill, Wallingford, Pa., from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. An art show will be open to the public, and Quaker artists are invited to submit their work. There will also be a variety of workshops, live performances, and luncheon. Friends Village at Woodstown holds its annual bazaar from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Crafters fee for a table will be $30 this year. The semiannual gathering of clerks and other members of monthly meeting Worship & Ministry committees under the care of PYM Meeting on Worship & Ministry will be held at Chestnut Hill MM from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm. Minute in Support of the Million Mom March
approved by Salem Quarterly Meeting in session, 12 March 2000- Salem Quarterly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, unites in support of the Million Mom March to be held on Mothers Day, 14 May 2000, calling for effective handgun control legislation. We affirm our intent to help members and attenders of our seven monthly meetings become aware of this event and its purposes and to participate in it. We invite other Quaker bodies to join with us in this support.

The Friends School at Mullica Hill is not formally under the care of Salem Quarter or any of its monthly meetings. Nonetheless, the Quarter and the School enjoy a cooperative and mutually supportive relationship.
